- Vocational Success Coordinator
Description
Position Summary
- This role is responsible for developing and maintaining community partnerships that lead to meaningful employment opportunities for participants and supporting participants throughout employment.
This Role is Focused on Building Relationships & Participant Support:
- Promote the value of working with LifeWorks, supporting our program, and hiring our participants to businesses and employers.
- Support participants and employers during all aspects of exploring, identifying, applying, preparing, onboarding, and maintaining paid employment in the community.
Core Responsibilities
- Employer and Community Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with local employers, businesses, and community organizations
- Conduct outreach to identify new collaboration, partnership, and employment opportunities
- Represent LifeWorks at community events, networking groups, and employer visits
- Establish and sustain a strong network of partners aligned with participant goals
Person-Centered Vocational Support
- Understand participant goals, strengths, and readiness
- Match participants to appropriate employment opportunities
- Support preparation for interviews, tours, and onboarding expectations
- Gather and communicate employer feedback to support participant growth
Employment Opportunity Development
- Secure and coordinate opportunities including:
- Job shadowing, internships, paid employment, volunteer experiences, etc.
- Collaborate with employers to shape roles that align with participant strengths and needs
- Identify ongoing and repeat opportunities for participant placement
Event & Experience Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule:
- Business tours, guest speakers, hiring and networking events, mock interviews, etc.
- Ensure all logistics and expectations are clearly communicated to participants and partners
- Support a structured and positive experience for all parties
Partner Stewardship
- Provide timely and professional follow-up after all engagements
- Send thank you communications to community partners
- Maintain ongoing communication to strengthen and retain partnerships
- Recognize and celebrate partners through newsletters, spotlights, and appreciation efforts
Tracking & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate records of employer contacts, opportunities, and placements
- Track key metrics including participant vocational performance, partnerships, placements, and engagement activities
- Utilize systems and audit calendars to ensure consistent outreach and follow-up
Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Partnership
- Submit OVR referrals
- Attend OVR meetings and maintain ongoing communication with OVR Counselors
- Complete required OVR reports/submissions
- Complete required OVR trainings, maintain required annual CEUs
- Complete annual OVR vender agreement
Collaboration
- Work closely with staff and participant teams
- Participate and provide information and data for participant Comprehensive Reviews
- Collaborate with community partners and external stakeholders
- Provide regular updates on partnerships, opportunities, and participant outcomes
- Programming and Enrichment Support and Facilitation
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master's preferred)
- Experience in community engagement, workforce development, or relationship management preferred
- Experience working with autistic adults and their families
