We are now looking for a passionate and driven Upgrades Project Manager to join our team in Central America & Andina. In this role, you will be at the heart of transforming our customers' operations, leading the implementation of technical upgrade projects that enhance food safety, efficiency, and sustainability. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver tailored solutions that make a real impact.

This position could be based in Bogotá, Colombia or Panama City, Panama, and may require up to 30% travel.

What you will do
As Upgrades Project Manager, you will:
- Lead project management for Upgrades by being directly involved in the execution and implementation of the project.
- Lead the follow-up on the project activities, secure resources and manage the stakeholders such as markets (sales), Project Centre's, Customer Service Operations, external suppliers and customers.
- Recognize sales in SAP, manage costs and budget.
- Be responsible for the performance of the Upgrades project.
- Delivery of the project on time, within budget and according to the expected technical specifications and performance.
- Responsible for customer satisfaction in relation to the Upgrades project delivered.
- Execute the handover of the Upgrades Project including documentation and adherence to any mandatory requirements.
- Be responsible for providing technical/engineering and financial expertise in quoting Upgrades solutions that require deep knowledge and for securing that legal and commercial policies are being followed in the quotations.
- Secure a clear alignment with the involved stakeholders, such as market (sales), sales support, delivery organizations and suppliers, to flawlessly implement the offered solution.
- Lead project engineering quotation for:
- Customized solutions for Tetra Pak and non-Tetra Pak equipment.
- "Standard" Upgrades for Key Components or installed equipment.
- Customers' requests for Upgrades developed by Business Units or local quotations (RFQ) with focus on Food Safety, Operational Efficiency or Production Capability.
- Automation revamping or automation of the installed base.
- Water, utilities and energy consumption reduction for new projects or current installed base. Lead the engineering process in the implementation phase up to the final acceptance.
- Support Services Sales Team along the sales process, providing technical analysis, value proposition and customer presentations, according to a pre-defined scope of offering aligned to customers' needs.
- Follow up the quote throughout the process by tracking open proposals and capture new business opportunities.
- Support in providing information on product performance, new trends and technologies in the industry, competitor analysis and collection of this information to disperse to the Sales and Portfolio Teams.
We believe you have
- Bachelor's degree in Food, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Experience and knowledge in liquid and semi-liquid production technologies.
- At least 8 years of experience in project design engineering (mechanical, processes required & flow design), project implementation, and technical project management.
- Experience in Tetra Pak processing machines will be a plus.
- Able to communicate with customers at all levels and capable of managing their expectations.
- High-Level problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent commercial and business skills.
- Self-motivated that has a strong drive and agile.
- Strong stakeholder management skills as well as being analytical and results driven.
- Service orientated with an ability to work in time pressured environments.
- Ability to handle difficult situations and people sensitively.
- Good team player, planning, and leadership skills, with a consistent problem-solving mindset.
- Fluent in English language.
