Job Summary:
The Supervisor, Rehabilitation, plays a pivotal role in managing daily operations within the Rehabilitation/Therapy departments, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards. This position collaborates closely with Rehabilitation leadership to maintain consistent care standards and optimize patient outcomes.
Essential Functions:
Manages daily operations of rehabilitation services, ensuring compliance with professional, local, state, national, and Joint Commission standards. Provides direct patient care and supervision as needed.
Assists Rehabilitation leadership in developing operating and capital budgets. Focuses on productivity, revenue enhancement, and cost control to meet financial goals. Ensures adherence to revenue cycle policies and benchmarks, fostering staff accountability.
Supports recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and retention of staff. Maintains optimal staffing levels to meet patient care demands and enhance productivity. Conducts regular meetings to foster effective communication.
Implements comprehensive quality improvement programs based on relevant indicators and care standards. Maintains equipment functionality and safety processes. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care processes.
Develops strategies for task management and intervention implementation. Facilitates research, identifies resources, and provides recommendations for successful outcomes.
Drives continuous operational efficiency improvements while emphasizing clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.

Requirements
Required Licensing & Certifications:
Active license in state of practice for one of the following areas: Occupational Therapy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistant, Speech Language Pathology, Athletic Training (required)
BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
Experience:
Three years clinical experience in area of specialty (preferred at BSMH, required at RSFH)
Skills & Abilities:
Demonstrates appropriate application of age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines in caring for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Demonstrates general computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
Analytical abilities to evaluate patient condition, capabilities and progress.
Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively interact with co-workers, physicians, patients and families.
Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
Effective organizational and time management skills.
