About the Job
We are looking for a Research Program Coordinator to own the operational backbone of our translational research projects and to keep the company running smoothly day to day. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, is detail-oriented, and can operate independently. This job offers direct exposure to many aspects of biomedical innovation and direct interfacing with world leading researchers. It is an excellent opportunity to own a process outright at a fast growing biotech startup.
As a member of our team you will:
- Serve as a coordinator for multiple collaborative projects funded by NIH SBIR/STTR awards, nonprofit foundations, and biopharma partnerships
- Manage relationships with research partners, including meetings, IRB submissions, and biospecimen logistics
- Manage administrative responsibilities for the executive team
- Track budgets and support financial reporting to NIH program officers and finance team
- Coordinate lab purchasing and monitor reagent and consumable inventories
- Have the opportunity to grow with the company into adjacent areas such business development, grant writing, or lab operations
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree
- Strong organizational judgment and the ability to prioritize independently in an environment with competing deadlines
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and Notion, and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- 1+ years of experience in a research, healthcare, or operations setting
- Ability to build agentic coworkers for routine tasks
Preferred
- Exposure to IRB submissions and/or research agreements such as MTAs, DUAs, and CDAs move through an institution
- Experience supporting NIH-funded research, including SBIR/STTR mechanisms, subawards, or progress reporting
- Experience handling human biospecimens and working knowledge of shipping regulations for biological materials (IATA, Category B)
- Experience with LIMS, electronic lab notebooks, or clinical data capture systems
- Prior experience at a startup or in a small team working independently
