SMU DEDMAN SCHOOL OF LAW is seeking applications from qualified persons for non-tenure-track faculty positions to begin Fall of 2027. We seek three candidates with expertise in the following areas: Research & Faculty Services Librarians/Clinical Professors of Legal Research. We will consider entry-level applicants. 

Requirements

We will consider entry-level applicants. Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and a Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program or current enrollment with the ability to complete the degree within one year of appointment. To ensure full consideration for the positions, applications must be received by November 15, 2026, but the committee will continue to accept applications until the positions are filled.
