We are seeking a Project Manager (Architect) to join our growing Dallas-based team. In this role, you'll help shape transformative higher education environments, build meaningful client relationships, collaborate with talented colleagues, and grow your career in a supportive and rewarding practice.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager (Architect) leads higher education projects from planning through construction, serving as the primary coordinator between clients, consultants, and internal project teams. This role is responsible for project delivery, technical quality, team leadership, and supporting business development efforts within Treanor's Higher Education practice.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead higher education projects from planning through construction, ensuring successful delivery aligned with client goals, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Serve as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships and leading meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagement efforts.
- Direct project execution, including staffing, scheduling, consultant coordination, financial performance, risk management, and work planning.
- Lead quality assurance and quality control efforts while contributing to the design process and delivery of high-quality construction documents.
- Mentor and develop emerging professionals through project leadership, technical guidance, and career development.
- Support practice growth through business development activities, including client relationship building, proposals, interviews, and industry engagement.

Treanor is committed to equitable compensation practices. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, degree, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The anticipated salary range for candidates meeting the stated requirements is $106,000 – 120,000 and will vary by the states we operate in.
Requirements
Required
- Licensed Architect
- 15+ years of experience leading technically complex projects.
- Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, and project scheduling/planning tools.
- Knowledge in management of project business: scope, fee, schedule, work plans, and budget.
- A passion for working collaboratively with clients to solve unique and complex challenges.
- A team-focused attitude, willing to assist others as necessary.
- Ability to travel outside of the local areas as project(s) require.
Preferred
- Experience leading higher education, institutional, civic, or similarly complex projects.
- Experience writing specifications.
- Experience with sustainable design practices. LEED AP or WELL AP.
