Job Title: Project Controls Manager - Offshore Island Project
KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently looking to fill a position of Project Controls Manager for an Offshore Island Project to be based in UAE (Abu Dhabi) as soon as the administrative processes are completed, will then relocate to Spain Office and then return to Abu Dhabi
Role Summary
The Project Controls Manager is responsible for leading all project control functions across major ADNOC Offshore projects, including planning, scheduling, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, progress measurement, and performance reporting. The role provides management with accurate project visibility and supports timely decision-making to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the project controls framework, policies, procedures, and reporting systems for offshore EPC/EPCI projects
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and forecasting activities.
- Lead cost control, budgeting, commitment tracking, cash flow management, and estimate-at-completion (EAC) forecasting.
- Manage earned value management (EVM), schedule performance, cost performance, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate risk management, trend analysis, and mitigation planning.
- Develop executive-level dashboards, weekly reports, and monthly project performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC project governance, contractual requirements, and project control standards.
- Interface with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor planning engineers, cost engineers, risk specialists, and project control personnel.
- Support project recovery plans and provide recommendations to improve execution performance.
Typical Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 25+ years of experience in Project Controls within Oil & Gas, Offshore, EPC, PMC, or EPCI environments.
- Minimum 5 years in a Project Controls Manager or senior leadership role.
- Strong ADNOC Offshore project experience preferred.
- Expert knowledge of Primavera P6, cost management systems, and project reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of offshore facilities, pipelines, topsides, jackets, subsea, and brownfield projects.
- Experience managing multi-billion-dollar offshore developments and multiple contractors.
