Provides direct supervision of pharmacy personnel and oversees day-to-day pharmacy operations to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and compliant patient care services. Collaborates with pharmacy leadership to support clinical and operational objectives, promote evidence-based practice, maintain regulatory and accreditation compliance, and foster a culture of quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This is a Full Time (40 Hours) role that will provide support to our Community Site Locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and workflow oversight to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel to ensure safe, effective, and efficient pharmacy services.
- Hire, train, coach, support, develop, discipline, and evaluate pharmacy personnel to promote engagement, accountability, high performance, and professional growth.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures to support safe and compliant pharmacy practice.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, organizational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, ensuring ongoing operational readiness.
- Lead and support quality assurance, quality improvement, medication safety, and error prevention initiatives, including review and follow-up of safety events and implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, multidisciplinary teams, and organizational committees to support departmental objectives, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate departmental goals, operational priorities, performance expectations, and key updates to staff while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and service excellence.
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- 4 years of experience as a Pharmacist or 2 years as a Lead Pharmacist or in an equivalent supervisory capacity
- State of Washington Pharmacist License
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven project management skills and committee experience
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (EMR, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to work under pressure related to work/time deadlines
- Ability to provide feedback about staff performance to staff
- Strong teaching ability
- Ability to lead committees
Pre Employment Drug Screening:
As a condition of employment Fred Hutch conducts pre-employment drug testing for this pharmacy role. All offers of employment in the pharmacy department are conditional on the applicant successfully completing and passing a drug test in accordance with the Fred Hutch policy.
The annual base salary range for this position is from $172,910.00 to $288,142.00, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.
