Description
About Beyond Business
Beyond Business is a growing sales and marketing agency working with brands in the natural products industry, including beauty, skincare, personal care, oral care, wellness, and related categories. Originally based in New York, we have relocated our headquarters to Rapid City and are excited to begin growing our local team while continuing to work with clients and team members across the country.
We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Marketing & Project Coordinator to work closely with our CEO and team across client projects, product development, marketing initiatives, presentations, and day-to-day business execution.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who wants exposure to multiple areas of a growing business and is eager to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
What You'll Do
Coordinate projects, deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups across multiple clients and initiatives.
Support the CEO on product development and product launch projects, helping ensure manufacturers, designers, vendors, clients, and other partners complete needed deliverables.
Track project status and proactively follow up when information, approvals, samples, artwork, or other items are outstanding.
Create, update, format, and organize PowerPoint presentations, Excel trackers, and other business materials, ensuring the most current versions are accurate and readily available.
Participate in client, vendor, retailer, and internal meetings; capture action items and help ensure they are completed.
Assist with client and retail account follow-up, which may include emails, phone calls, and video meetings.
Provide organizational and project support to the CEO, helping manage priorities and keep important initiatives moving.
Assist with selected marketing projects for Beyond Business and our clients, including occasional social media support using established AI tools and systems.
Support preparation for industry trade shows and events, with the opportunity to travel approximately 2–3 times per year.
Schedule & Work Environment
This is an employee position based in our Rapid City office.
We are open to a full-time candidate or the right person beginning on a part-time basis. Ideally, a part-time schedule would be approximately 20 or more hours per week, although we are willing to consider other arrangements for an exceptional candidate.
The position is primarily an in-office role based in our Rapid City office. Working together in person is an important part of how we collaborate, communicate, and support our clients. As the employee becomes established and demonstrates the ability to independently manage their responsibilities, there may be an opportunity for a limited hybrid schedule, such as working remotely one or two days per week. This is not a remote position, and regular in-office presence in Rapid City will remain an ongoing requirement.
Benefits
Beyond Business offers eligible employees:
Paid time off (PTO)
Paid holidays
401(k) retirement plan with a 3% employer contribution
Paid family leave for eligible qualifying events
Opportunities for professional development and increasing responsibility
Occasional travel to industry trade shows and events
We are willing to teach and develop the right person. More than a perfect résumé, we are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, professional, curious, and eager to learn.
Requirements
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate:
Is exceptionally organized and pays close attention to detail.
Follows through and enjoys making sure things get completed.
Is comfortable managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.
Communicates professionally by email, phone, video, and in person.
Is comfortable following up with clients, vendors, retailers, and other partners and respectfully holding others accountable to deadlines.
Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
Is curious, resourceful, and willing to ask questions.
Is comfortable learning and using technology, including AI.
Is willing to learn and grow rather than expecting to already know everything.
Can become increasingly independent and learn to anticipate what needs to happen next rather than waiting for every assignment.
Technology
This position will regularly use Microsoft Office 365, including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, as well as AI tools, video conferencing platforms, and project management and organizational tools.
Advanced experience is not required, but candidates should be comfortable with computers and motivated to become proficient with these tools.
Preferred Experience
Experience or interest in the natural products and wellness industries — including skincare, beauty, personal care, oral care, or related categories — is especially valuable but not required.
Relevant experience does not need to come from a traditional office environment. Experience in natural products retail, health and wellness, beauty, specialty retail, a food co-op, or a similar setting may also be a strong fit for this position.
This is an entry-level/early-career opportunity, and previous experience in every area of the job is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Candidates must be able to work in person in Rapid City, South Dakota.
