Description
Seeking an experienced and talented Accountant at Senior or Supervisor level. Your new companyA well-established and growing professional services firm is seeking an experienced Intermediate/Senior Accountant to join its business services team. This is a confidential opportunity with a firm that offers quality client exposure, strong technical development and genuine progression pathways.
Your new role
Working closely with Managers and Directors, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio and deliver high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory support. You will prepare financial statements and tax returns across individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts and superannuation funds, while also contributing to planning, workflow management and client communication.
Prepare individual, company, partnership, trust and superannuation fund tax returns and financial statements.Complete intermediate to advanced research tasks and present findings clearly and concisely.Assist with client communication, including liaising with clients and bookkeepers.Support special projects such as FBT, due diligence, audit work, tax planning and business improvement recommendations.Assist with the training, supervision and workflow monitoring of junior staff.Review basic accounting and taxation work completed by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.Contribute to process improvements and best practice initiatives across the firm.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in business services, tax or public practice accounting.Ability to prepare tax returns and financial statements with limited guidance.
CA qualification in progress, with a commitment to completing remaining subjects.
Strong technical knowledge across accounting and tax concepts.
Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage your own workflow proactively.
Confidence communicating with clients, bookkeepers, Managers and Directors.
An interest in mentoring junior staff and contributing to team development.
