Description
Full-time position to play key role in assisting with major renovation of permanent exhibition galleries and related activities. Synthesize voices from staff, designers, contractors, audiences and community stakeholders to refine narratives and themes, and implement vision for displays and interactives. Fashion stories, artifacts, documents and images into engaging depictions of the past. Facilitate project oversight and task coordination from concept to installation and evaluation. Aid preparation of spaces, materials and historical resources for museum enhancements, including comprehensive pre-installation audit of areas and assets. Position could incorporate additional research, collections, exhibits, education, facilities, marketing and other duties as assigned. Some evening and weekend work is required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in history, museum studies, education or related field, plus at least two years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
