- Development Coordinator
Description
The Development Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting Global Gardens’ fundraising, donor stewardship, and signature events. This position works closely with the Development Director and Executive Director to ensure organized development systems, thoughtful donor engagement, and seamless event execution.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, relational, detail-oriented, and energized by mission-driven work. This role requires both behind-the-scenes precision and a warm, community-facing presence.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Donor Stewardship, Database & Event Planning Software Management
Manage the transition to the new donor database
Maintain, manage and enhance use of donor database and event planning software to maximize results of campaign and stewardship efforts (gift entry, personal data collection, acknowledgments, segmentation, reporting)
Ensure timely, personalized donor acknowledgments and impact communications
Track pledges, sponsorship commitments, and campaign progress
Assist in preparing donor reports and board development updates
Support stewardship strategies for individual, corporate, and foundation donors
Fundraising Events & Campaigns
Assist in planning and executing the annual GLOW Gala, including sponsorship tracking, guest management, vendor coordination, and logistics
Support additional fundraising events such as Planting Futures, seasonal gatherings, and Cooking Camps
Coordinate sponsorship materials and fulfillment
Assist with all fundraising initiatives - Spring & Year End Campaigns. Identifying, documenting and exploring corporate opportunities that can support these campaigns.
Support donor cultivation experiences
Communications & Development Support
Draft donor correspondence, sponsorship proposals, and appeal letters
Assist with impact reports and donor-facing materials
Assist with grant writing and reports
Coordinate event invitations and RSVP tracking
Collaborate with program staff to gather stories, photos, and impact metrics
Support grant tracking and reporting timelines
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in nonprofit development
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with donor database and event planning systems (Bloomerang, Salesforce, DonorPerfect, Givebutter, OneCause or similar) preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Comfort interacting with donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing.
Light lifting.
