Duties
The Coordinator of New Student Onboarding is responsible for development, implementation, and coordination of processes and procedures related to orientation and onboarding of new students.

Essential duties and responsibilities, include, but are not limited to:1. In collaboration with the Assistant Dean of Academic Advising and New Student Orientation and Dean of Student Engagement, provide leadership and direction on all aspects of pre-orientation, online, and on-campus orientation activities.
2. Provide dedicated support before, during, and after New Student Orientation programming. The Coordinator of New Student Onboarding must be physically present during peak orientation times.
3. Supervise student employees serving in the Orientation Leader role. Partner with the Assistant Dean to recruit, hire, and train the Orientation Leaders.
4. Collaborate and directly support the faculty and staff that are assigned to carry out New Student Orientation programming.
5. Serve as co-chair to the Orientation Committee within the Student Development Division.
7. Work directly with internal partners on annual updates and purchases of materials and supplies for New Student Orientation.
8. Facilitate New Student Orientation programming for special student populations.
9. Develop and maintain written procedures, oversee updates to New Student Orientation materials and platforms, and update resources for staff involved with New Student Orientation.
10. Partner with the Assistant Dean of Academic Advising and New Student Orientation to develop and deliver an update training specific to orientation every fall and spring semester.
11. Utilize institutional data, dashboards, and CRM information to communicate with students in the pipeline through email, text, phone, and other approaches.
12. Utilize data to assess the effectiveness of New Student Orientation programming.
13. Respond in a timely manner to student concerns or complaints.
14. Support the Assistant Dean of Academic Advising and New Student Orientation with advising-related projects. Assist with Student Engagement and Student Development projects and programming during non-peak times. Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree required. A Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or a related field is required; Master's degree in higher education, college student personnel, psychology, counseling, or related is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of higher education experience is required. Community college experience preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience coordinating orientation programming is required.
- One year of supervisory experience in a college or university is required.

- A strong record of direct leadership with orientation programming at a college or university.
- Knowledge and experience of different models of orientation and new student onboarding; preferring experience collaborating with faculty academic advisors and/or counselors during orientation programming.
- Strong collaborative leadership skills combined with high energy and enthusiasm.
- Exceptional public presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A commitment to providing quality services that support new students.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse staff and student body.
- Knowledge and experience using technology, including a student information system, to serve students.
- Working understanding FERPA and experience balancing student rights and parental requests for involvement.
- Ability to analyze data and reports to make data-driven decisions in support of student success.
Work will primarily occur in an office, classroom, hallway, or presentation-style environment. The employee will regularly travel outdoors between buildings, and will infrequently be required to staff outdoor programming or events.

Hours
In general, 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday. During the summer, the college does not offer business hours on Fridays.
Pending successful completion of an introductory period, this position may be eligible for one day of remote work per week during normal weeks when remote work is allowable.
Salary/Wage
$54,700-$68,000 (plus exceptional benefits)
