Job Title: AP Supervisor / Senior Accounts Payable - Construction
Location: Office-based (London, zone 1)
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (pot. up to £45k) + benefits
Type: Permanent

About the Role:

• Lead all AP operations and process improvement, supervising two accounts admins and ensuring supplier/subcontractor payments are on time and controlled
• Preparing supplier payment runs & subcontractor payment runs
• Lead on complex supplier queries and resolve them
• Setting up new subcontractors on the system - including verifications & CIS checks
• CIS returns
• Play a key part in onboarding Coins (or similar) and driving best-practice as the finance function upgrades; hands-on and strategic input required

Must-Have Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years' AP experience within a UK main contractor or specialist construction environment
• Demonstrable experience with subcontractor payments, bank reconciliations, and AP controls
• Confident process manager: able to supervise, organise, and improve day-to-day function
• Exposure to Construction ERP/accounting systems - Coins ideal, but IFS, Dynamics, Oracle, or similar considered

Nice-to-Have:
* AAT Level 4 or higher (not essential if strong construction AP background)
* Experience onboarding/rolling out new finance systems
* Ambition to progress or study further (ACCA) welcomed
