Maine Veterinary Medical Center is looking for a compassionate and motivated Surgery Clinical Supervisor to help lead our surgery department. Maine Veterinary Medical Center (MVMC) is a VECCS level two certified Rarebreed practice that has full in-house laboratory capabilities, a fluoroscopy suite for interventional procedures, a GE 64-slice CT, MRI, respiratory ventilator, in-house telemetric monitoring, ultrasound and endoscopy. MVMC is a multi-specialty hospital offering services in Emergency & Critical Care, Neurology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Oncology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. Veterinary Technician - Surgery

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Team Leadership:
Lead and support technical staff through daily guidance, coaching, and feedback
Partner on hiring, onboarding, and performance management
Foster a collaborative, accountable team environment
Workflow & Operations:
Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and patient flow
Delegate responsibilities to support efficient, high-quality care
Identify and improve processes to enhance team efficiency
Patient Care:
Ensure consistent, high-quality nursing care across the department
Support treatments, procedures, and diagnostics as needed
Maintain accurate and complete medical records
Client Experience:
Support a smooth, professional client experience
Guide team interactions and assist with resolving concerns
Operations & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards
Communicate updates and expectations clearly to the team
Training & Development:
Lead onboarding and ongoing training
Support team growth and skill development
Hospital Environment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized hospital
Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols

REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of veterinary hospital experience
Previous leadership, training, or supervisory experience preferred
Strong communication and client service skills
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Able to lift 50 pounds
Credentialed candidates (LVT, CVT, or RVT) are strongly desired for this role
