The City of Marshall is seeking a highly motivated, detailed oriented individual to provide a full range of planning duties and zoning administration in this new position of Planning and Zoning Administrator.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point for zoning ordinance issues, questions and enforcement while also providing administrative and customer service support to the Building Safety Division. Requirements

This position reports to the Director of Community Development. Under the direction and supervision of the Director, provides a full range of planning duties and zoning administration. Receives and processes applications, prepares reports, and maintains records. Assists with meeting packets and reports for the Planning Commission and other assigned Boards. Acts as the primary point of contact for zoning ordinance issues and enforcement. This position provides administrative and customer service support to the Building Safety division, including the permit process and coordination with inspectors. Must be organized, efficient and able to diplomatically handle interruptions from coworkers and the public.
