Sound Retina is an independentphysician owned retinal specialty practice. We are not owned or managed by private equity or corporate health systems. Our clinical and research decisions are made by physicians based solely on what is best for the patient. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Research Coordinator to manage our active clinical research program. This is a hands on leadership role working directly alongside our physician investigators.
What We Need: Retina or ophthalmology specific clinical research experience is required. General research backgrounds will not be considered. The ideal candidate has personally performed ophthalmic functional and imaging testing and has managed interventional trials through sponsor audits.
What You Will Do: Manage day to day operations of all active clinical trials. IRB submissions, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness. Sponsor and CRO relationship management. Patient recruitment, enrollment, and retention. Ophthalmic functional and imaging testing. Staff oversight and training.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum two to five years of clinical research experience in ophthalmology or retina specifically required. General research backgrounds will not be considered.
Education: Bachelor of Science preferred. Bachelor of Arts acceptable. Masters in Public Health or Science a plus.
Certification: CCRP or CCRC preferred or actively in progress.
Clinical Skills: Experience with testing BCVA under ETDRS conditions, HVF, MAIA microperimetry, and basic ophthalmic photography preferred. Other functional testing can be trained.
Research Skills: Direct experience with GCP compliance, adverse event reporting, and regulatory binder maintenance. Experience preparing for and participating in sponsor monitoring visits and audits preferred. Familiarity with REDCap or similar clinical data management systems preferred.
Other Requirements: Valid US driver’s license or ability to obtain one. Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
