The City of Elbow Lake, Minnesota is seeking a community orientated individual to serve as our City Clerk- Administrator-Treasurer and General Manager of Elbow Lake Municipal Power System.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in oversight of all financial matters and future planning in our city infrastructure by collaborating amongst City departments and City Council.
As the City Clerk-Administrator-Treasurer and General Manager of the Elbow Lake Municipal Power, this position works under the direction of the City Council, which includes one elected Mayor and four elected Council persons and a Power Commission, which includes three members, which are appointed by the Mayor of Elbow Lake.
This position will oversee daily city functions, city finance, including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, banking and grant writing; this position will also serve as the clerk to the City Council, providing procedural and legal guidance to ensure compliance with state statutes, city ordinances and the preparation of agendas, recording and maintaining official minutes of all City Council meetings and other committee, board, or commission meetings.
