The Impact You Will Have
The Case Management Health Support Coordinator is a member of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield (BCBSMN) Care Management (CM) team and is responsible for cross-functional support within the CM department. In this role, the Case Management Health Support Coordinator will perform the non-clinical tasks that support clinical Case Managers. A major responsibility will be to work, support, and collaborate with internal partners, including but not limited to case managers, team leads, clinical managers, and Product management. This work also involves assisting with the development and implementation of new workflow processes, prioritizing and providing referrals to case managers, for member outreach, and providing the initial non-clinical triage functions for requests with Care Management
Your Responsibilities
• Receive, research, prioritize, and respond to Case Management requests and program referrals through mailbox management, system work queue management, and incoming telephonic and written care requests
• Monitoring department home pages and re-assigning work to case managers based on type of case, workload, and overall queue volume and client assignments
• Assisting case managers with finding providers (as needed)
• Maintaining an outstanding level of customer service throughout all points of customer contact
• Accurately applying policies and procedures related to case management activities, while exercising independent judgement with minimal oversight
• Establishing collaborative relationships and being a partner to both internal and external customers
• Accepting accountability for special projects that may require moderate to complex research, analysis, and documentation skills
• Recognizing workflow improvements and collaborating with leadership to implement the changes
• Other role-specific duties as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
• 2+ years related experience or Bachelor's degree. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered
• High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Exceptional, customer service skills
• Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Effectively apply and demonstrate workflow instructions and successfully meet turn-around-time expectations
• Familiar with MS Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to express moderate to complex issues individuals, groups, internal and external contacts
• Ability to write clear, concise and grammatically correct materials
• Strong organization, research, and analytical skills
• Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
• Call center environment training and experience
• Working knowledge of BCBSMN products and systems
• BCBSMN specific Provider Services or Customer Service experience
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $21.00 - $26.25 - $31.50 Hourly
Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
