Description
Job Purpose and ImpactWharf Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all port operations, including service and maintenance planning. This role ensures effective budget implementation, cost control, and adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The supervisor will lead and monitor daily activities to maintain operational efficiency, safety compliance, and high service standards across all wharf operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, organize, and control daily operations and team activities.Monitor service and maintenance of heavy equipment, mobile power equipment, and machinery.
- Coordinate with mill and support teams to achieve operational targets.
- Participate in resource planning and support onboarding and coaching of new hires.
- Closely monitor daily performance metrics using available technology and tools to ensure quality service and timely actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by standardizing, simplifying, and automating processes to enhance overall operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, define needs, assign roles and responsibilities, and develop work schedules to support business growth.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Preferable have 2 year of directly related work experience
- Preferable have 2 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in port operations.
- Prior experience in Port Management.
- Experience working with the Inaportnet system and handling quarantine certifications.
- Familiarity with the ISPS Code.
