The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences and the College of General Studies at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a Veterans Benefits Supervisor.
The Veterans Benefits Supervisor position serves as a primary official responsible for processing and certifying all military education benefits for the military-affiliated population at the University. Responsibilities include:
- Providing direction and counsel to students regarding education benefits and financial assistance.
- Processing military benefit applications.
- Managing the convergence of a variety of funding sources.
- Complying with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Job Summary
Serves as the primary official responsible for processing and certifying all military education benefits for the entire military-affiliated population at the University. Provides direction and counsel to students regarding education benefits and financial assistance. Processes military benefit applications, manages the convergence of a variety of funding sources, and complies with policies, procedures, and regulations.
Essential Functions
Must be able to use a computer and keyboard and be able to use video communication technology (i.e., Zoom, Teams, etc.). Work is frequently conducted by email, telephone, in-person, and/or using video communications technology. The ability to communicate in a clear and concise fashion is essential. Experience with content creation, video editing, and web publishing is strongly preferred.
Physical Effort
Minimal physical effort required. This position is generally sedentary within an office setting.

Hiring Range: $21.54 to $24.10 per hour
