JOB SUMMARY: The Training and Quality Supervisor (TQSU), under the direction of the (Regional) Training Manager, will be responsible for the organization, implementation, facilitation of, and reporting on, a wide range of training and quality initiatives that enhance the effectiveness and engagement of the workforce and contribute to the DHL eCommerce strategy to be the Employer of Choice and Quality Leader in the assigned Distribution Center. This includes the DHL Onboarding program for hourly staff, Compliance and Safety training, and Quality Assurance. The DC Training and Quality Specialists report into this role. All programs are to be delivered in line with the 5 guiding principles focused on increasing employee engagement and retention: Providing employees with a clear sense of belonging and an understanding of their personal contribution. Providing employees with a clear vision for growth at DHL. Building a support network for employees beyond direct supervisors. Building a culture of continuous improvement, where it is safe to learn. The Training and Quality Supervisor (TQSU) is a role model for the DHL Strategic Framework and infuses the mission, vision, values, and attributes of: As One, Right the First Time, Can Do and Passion into the new hire and employee experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads, organizes, facilitates, and implements all aspects of the New Hire Onboarding program including the continual program training modules (held after initial program completion: 30, 60, 90 Days and beyond through the first year). Responsible for administering / overseeing the day-to-day logistics of all scheduled training courses: including classroom preparation, supplies, participant lunches, prizes, certifications. Assists with the development of DC Training and Quality Specialists through the delivery of in-class content and other training materials. Manages and develops assigned DC Training and Quality Specialists. Conducts performance reviews, coaches, and trains employees. Supports the further development of effective training materials, job aids and support materials. Facilitates and organizes training sessions at the distribution center level with local staff (Front Line employees, Trainers, (Supervisors and Leadership team when needed) related to: New Hire Orientation (NHO) Training the DHL Way hourly training program New Process Implementations Safety and Compliance Courses Quality Processes Monitors the effectiveness of training employees using individual or group performance results. Collects feedback on sessions to use for future improvements to content and presentation. Reports weekly and monthly KPIs on DC Onboarding, Training and Quality programs. Reports employee attendance and certification data to the My Talent World LMS administrator and Certified Learning Program teams as required. Executes in various training mediums: classroom training, interactive exercises, operations floor training, online learning. Supports all front-line employee training, development, onboarding, and retention efforts. Maintains quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements. Leads the investigation & resolution of local quality-related issues in partnership with DC and T&Q leadership, including root cause analysis, corrective actions utilizing FC methodologies and tools. Guides and develops team to problem solve quality issues and helps identify and recommend solutions on root cause issues to help positively impact customer experience and operational quality. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma required. Associate degree preferred. Internal: 1 year as a DHL Supervisor, Operations Trainer, QAS or Training and Quality Assurance Specialist. Experience as a proven Respect and Results Leader within the DC Operations team. External: 2 years' experience in a supervisory role (operational environment or logistics industry a plus) and 1 year in a training or quality role. A relevant degree, qualification, or evidence of continuous professional development in your area of expertise a plus. Train the Facilitator certification (will be provided). First Choice Certified (training will be provided) REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS: Strong coaching, facilitation, and leadership skills. Ability to motivate, delegate and hold direct reports accountable for training program objectives. Ability to effectively manage the performance of the team. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of learners. Has a strong sense of empathy, being highly emotionally intelligent, and has the ability to listen actively and engage an audience. Must be creative problem solver who can remove or maneuver around obstacles to drive success. Has strong analytical skills that enable you to communicate the complex simply. Communicates elegantly and convincingly through writing and in person. Strong oral, written and presentation skills at all levels of an organization. High energy with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience in training in various mediums: Classroom, operations environment, interactive activities, eLearning. Proficiency with MS Software: PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Must be able to work independently with little supervision. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Mainly a shift specific role, however, able to work a range of shifts based on operational needs. Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
