Description
The Talent Management Department of Arnold & Porter has an opening for a Talent Management Coordinator in the Washington, D.C. office. The Coordinator handles a variety of responsibilities related to providing administrative support for the broader Talent Management team, including special projects as assigned by the Chief Legal Talent Officer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assisting the Chief Legal Talent Officer and Talent Directors with strategic and ongoing projects, including managing calendars, agendas, and resources to support departmental meetings and special events/conferences; taking notes at departmental meetings; proactively monitoring timelines to ensure completion of important tasks; monitoring and tracking data for strategic initiatives; monitoring Talent Department calendar and facilitating team communications internally and in coordination with other departments.
Processing credit card charges, reimbursements, and invoices in Chrome River for the Talent Management Department and assisting with monitoring budget accounts and resolving discrepancies.
Updating the firm-wide training calendar and the Talent Management Department intranet pages.
Assisting with administrative logistics for in-person events, including travel and lodging reservations and conference room bookings.
Creating talent management surveys in SurveyMonkey, and compiling and analyzing the responses.
Updating databases with external job postings.
Providing administrative support to the various talent management teams including setting up email distribution lists and organizing document management folders, among other activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of two years of experience in a professional work environment.
Familiarity with the legal profession preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and databases.
Familiarity with tools such as Smartsheet and Canva.
Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team required.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Possess reliability, dependability and motivation.
Excellent organization and communications skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while exhibiting a strong attention to detail.
Exceptional client service, both internal and external.
Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $64,257 to $75,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

As a nonexempt position, this position is eligible for overtime.
The firm may provide a discretionary bonus annually.
