SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Systems Administrator I.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP's Software Engineering Services business area is currently seeking a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator provides daily support, maintenance, and monitoring for IT systems and infrastructure. This position is focused on ensuring the availability, reliability, and security of servers and end-user systems. The ideal candidate is proficient in managing Windows servers using PowerShell and MySQL and is also comfortable managing tasks independently, prioritizing workload effectively, and taking initiative in diagnosing and addressing technical challenges before they impact users.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Administers and supports daily operational requirements of computer network systems including workstation, file servers, and web servers.
- Installation of hardware, software, systems upgrades, network accounts, network security, and web page design, interface and updates, and local system design documentation.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and implement network security tools including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection services.
- Compliance with the Cyber WorkForce (CWF) directives, including any required certifications.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Science or Information Systems.
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred.
- Windows Management Instrumentation.
- Windows PowerShell.
- MySQL.
- Windows Server.
- Reading and creating technical documentation.
- Linux system management.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
