Job Description SummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall execution of large scale projects to Key Customer satisfaction, through management of project related activities and resources. He/She is accountable from the signing of the contract to the finalization of all of GE Vernova's contractual obligations.
Job Description
What you'll do:
- First and primary customer contact
- Accountable for EHS of the project within the contractual obligations
- Full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility of the project
- Might lead country level activities spanning multiple smaller projects /sites with small number of PMs potentially reporting to them
- Owns the project and takes full accountability for the outcome, even when things don't go as planned. Inspires and empowers functional project leaders to take ownership of their own work packages and deliverables.
- Manages multiple stakeholders to ensure project completion (partner, contractors, customer)
- Early development of execution strategy with Inquiry to Order (ITO) Commercial manager and ensure successful transition of the project
- Develops and manages the risk register with mitigation action
- Timely elevation of issues through Daily management
- Continuous Risk & Opportunities register maintenance and mitigation actions
- Contract flip page with the project team to ensure all requirements are understood and aligned
- Understand and drive and ensure accountability of the project team to own main performance target i.e. Revenue, Cost Margin, cash
- Align the project team when conflicting requirements arise (cost vs schedule, cost vs risk...)
- Support Functional project managers in escalation within project (across functions, with Customer, with Partner)
- Understand the Performance risk ahead of time (not only at the end of the project when official PT are run) and partner with Performance engineering team to mitigate the risks
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
- 10 -15 years' experience in different domains of energy/oil and gas industry
- Experience in working with customer different stakeholders
- Fluency in Arabic & English
- This role requires significant experience in the Project Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a master's degree from an accredited university.
Eligibility Requirement:
- The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction.
What will make you stand out:
- Significant experience in project management of power generation and EPC projects or in Oil and Gas projects
- Experience in working with customer different stakeholders and developing strong relationships with key decision makers and other leaders at multiple levels within customer organizations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
- Familiarity with Contractual Structure of Power Projects scopes (Equipment Supply, Engineering Packages, and Turnkey)
- Team leader in a dynamic, energetic and proactive environment
