Description

Objective:
Responsible for all activities related to the procurement of equipment, materials and third party contract service ensuring quality compliance of equipment, materials and third party services. Ensure delivery timing to meet project schedule requirements at the lowest cost, consistent with the other requirements. Preparation of a Procurement Plan for the project, identifying all key equipment, materials and third party contract services required, purchasing / contracting strategy proposed, proposed vendors, budget cost estimate. Preparation of an approved vendor list for the project. Preparation and issue of request for quotation packages to vendors. Evaluation of vendor bids and preparation of recommendations for award.
Responsibilities:
Operational leaders implementing strategies within a single functional area or department within a function, defined location or project. May be expected to drive and execute work beyond scope of individual function through cross-functional or special project teams. May manage work directly or through others. Creates a purpose or vision for their own area/department that aligns with organizational goals. Develops and oversees objectives, policies and procedures for current and following year.
Requirements:
University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Typically 20+ years relevant experience with significant supervisory and/or management experience.
Experience in EPCM Mining projects above 200 M USD.
Fluent in English.
Expert understanding of broader systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to teach and help others. May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools.
