| Position Summary | The Return of Title IV Aid & Appeals Review Coordinator performs highly complex professional work in returning student aid to the U.S. Department of Education after a student officially or unofficially withdraws from classes during a term. This includes coordinating and overseeing institutional compliance with all Department of Education requirements as they pertain to the Return of Title IV Aid process including notifying students of awards, revisions, documentation requirements, institutional statistics, and institutional policies and procedures. This position also attends the reviews and the response to Office of the Registrar Deadline Appeals Committee and Tuition & Fee Refund Committee petitions for impacted programmatic areas including R2T4, Satisfactory Academic Progress, grant funding, overawards, and over payments. They will participate in the appeal process and serve, as outlined by Internal Audit, as the Office of Financial Aid representative for appeal review and response. Also responsible for response to Title IX investigations for impacted programmatic areas. This position will serve as the primary resource for staff and student questions about responsible areas. They will train others assisting with R2T4 & Appeals review processes as appropriate. They will also delegate work to trained staff as necessary to ensure timely processing in accordance with regulatory deadlines. This position reports to the Associate Director for Compliance. This position also coordinates and oversees institutional compliance with all Department of Education requirements as they pertain to notifying students of awards, revisions, documentation requirements, institutional statistics, institutional policies & procedures, etc. In accordance with the AAUP collective bargaining agreement this position is open only to current PSU AAUP academic professionals. | Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | The annual salary for this position will be $55,704 but may be negotiated above this range dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR. An excellent benefits package includes 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependent at any of the Oregon University System schools.
