This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Reliability Engineering Senior Supervisor will provide technical leadership and expertise to drive continuous improvement in process and asset reliability through the detection and elimination of defects, focus on the planning of the repair, and maintenance of our production equipment, machinery, or instruments. In this role, you will optimize the availability and productivity of our manufacturing facilities and equipment, perform engineering review, coordinate repair work and participate in the commissioning and installation of new equipment, and provide guidance to a team that provides technical knowledge to deliver the optimization of equipment maintenance and technical aspects of reliability engineering strategies.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the strategic development of asset reliability centered maintenance applications and ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, and performance are met in production processes
- Promote and execute the identification and elimination of bad actors and the optimization of equipment availability including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications
- Perform engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts and apply predictive maintenance program and technology application to identify and eliminate defects
- Develop and apply a specific lubrication program to ensure refinement, and partner with production in reliability related dent remediation strategies and efforts
- Participate in technical reviews of projects and collaborate with related areas on new equipment reliability specifications, and coordinate with production staff to plan and prioritize repair work, statutory safety inspections, and supply of new plant equipment with production schedules
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to maintenance, repair, and operations stores processes and the identification of critical spares
- Research the impact the organization's activities have on the environment
- Oversee Dayton's maintenance planners, ensuring their activities consistently support and align with reliability performance and business objectives
- Lead and develop a team, coach, and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions

Minimum Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of safety principles with the ability to apply preventative safety measures in a manufacturing environment
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
