- Recreation Guest Services Coordinator
Description
The Recreation Guest Services Coordinator oversees the planning, implementation, and daily operations of programs and services that support departmental goals and enhance the guest experience. This position manages front desk operations, program registration, facility presentation, and retail sales for the Recreation Center and associated amenities. Responsibilities include staff supervision (hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation), guest relations, financial oversight, and safety and risk management.
The Coordinator ensures facilities and programs are clean, safe, well-maintained, and effectively promoted to meet community needs and maximize revenue. This role also develops membership, admissions, and incentive programs, monitors facility and equipment use, and makes independent decisions within established guidelines.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Recreation or other related field. Related or relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
Two (2) years minimum direct work experience in guest service, retail sales, or a related area required.
Two (2) years of direct employee supervision required.
Computer proficiency required.
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES REQUIRED:
Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
Valid Colorado Driver's license with acceptable MVR required within 30 days of employment.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Five (5) or more years of guest services work experience at a supervisor or higher level.
Three (3) or more years of customer service experience in a recreational setting.
Three (3) or more years of retail sales operations, including point of sale computer systems.
Previous experience with developing, implementing, and monitoring budget(s) preferred.
