Responsibilities
While RS&H was founded in 1941, we have been providing construction management services as one of our primary business practices since 1984. RS&H's Transportation-Construction Management Practice serves numerous state departments of transportation, mobility/transportation authorities, turnpike/toll authorities, rail/port authorities, municipal/county governments, and private clients throughout the United States. Our Construction Engineering and Inspections (CEI) teams as well as our Construction Management teams are industry leading experts who provide a full range of construction engineering, program management, specialized testing, and inspection services from the preconstruction phase through maintenance and operations. Qualifications
RS&H is seeking a Project Administrator/Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) team in the Leesburg or Northern Orlando, FL area.This position will work outside on an active construction site. As part of the construction management team, you'll serve as an owner's representative, supporting inspection and contract administration on large-scale transportation projects.Essential Functions:Manage consultant contracts, including responsibility for accounts receivable, subconsultant management, and client interface.Direct construction engineering administration and inspection programs.Review and draft project correspondence, claims, change orders, and time extension requests.Verify construction activities for compliance with contract documents.Plan and organize the work of others, which may include managing a small team.Assist in all phases of the construction project including progress and final estimates.Participate in the marketing and development of new opportunities and contract pursuits.Develop or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or EquivalentIf holding a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management: Two (2) years of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects A Master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of experienceWithout one of the above degrees: Eight (8) years of CEI, roadway, or bridge construction experience Two (2) of those years must involve relevant transportation projectsFDOT Advanced MOTCTQP Final Estimates Level IICTQP Quality Control Manager (must attend and pass examination)Experience with construction of major roads or bridge structuresFDOT experience requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsValid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle safely on highways and job sitesProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePassion for working outdoors and ability to tolerate field conditionsAbility to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationshipsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Highway Design and Work Zone Traffic Control PlansExperience with alternative delivery methods such as Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, or CMGCOSHA 10-Hour CertificationBenefits:Paid Vacation, Personal Time Off, and Holiday Pay401(k) with Company MatchMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceCertification and Licensure SupportCareer Advancement OpportunitiesPet InsuranceCellphone StipendCompany VehicleAnd much more!#LI-KZ1If this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply.
