Responsibilities
While RS&H was founded in 1941, we have been providing construction management services as one of our primary business practices since 1984. RS&H's Transportation-Construction Management Practice serves numerous state departments of transportation, mobility/transportation authorities, turnpike/toll authorities, rail/port authorities, municipal/county governments, and private clients throughout the United States. Our Construction Engineering and Inspections (CEI) teams as well as our Construction Management teams are industry leading experts who provide a full range of construction engineering, program management, specialized testing, and inspection services from the preconstruction phase through maintenance and operations. Qualifications
We are seeking a Project Administrator for our Transportation-Construction Management practice in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Essential Functions:
- Direct and assign specific tasks to inspectors and assist in all phases of routine to moderately complex construction projectsResponsible for the documentation of construction quantities and payments for interim progress and final completion, and manages the consultant contract, including responsibility for accounts receivable, subconsultant management, and client management interfaceServe as task manager for phases of individual revenue-producing projects; construction administration support on assigned projects; or as a project field staff and construction administration team leader on projectsServe as a lead to other inspection staff, administrative staff and subconsultantsEnsure that detailed accurate records of the quantities of work being performed are being collected and maintainedEnsure that materials being incorporated into the project are being sampled and tested in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents.Coordinate and serve as liaison with utility companies, jurisdictions having authority, client representatives and others to facilitate resolution of any impediments to the project construction schedulePerform all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5 years relevant experienceFDOT Advanced MOTCTQP Final Estimates Level IICTQP Quality Control ManagerPrior experience in project administration and experience in construction of major road or bridge structures is requiredMust possess strong oral and written communications skillsMust have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders
