Physics & Astronomy - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (25005648)
The University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in theoretical particle physics, supervised by Dr. Samuel Homiller as part of the Pittsburgh Particle Physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology Center (Pitt PACC). The group has a broad range of interests across particle phenomenology, including models of physics beyond the Standard Model and their signatures at colliders or low-energy/precision experiments, and connections to astrophysics and cosmology.
This position will be responsible for performing research in particle theory, interacting with other members of the Pitt PACC (particularly the graduate students, postdocs, and visitors), organizing external seminars, and assisting in organizing/running the annual Phenomenology Symposium hosted every Spring at Pitt, as well as topical workshops in the Pitt PACC on topics related to particle theory.
The position is funded initially for one year and housed within the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh working with Dr. Samuel Homiller and collaborators.
