- Membership Coordinator (primarily remote)
Description
Forius Association Management Services, a wholly owned subsidiary division of NACM North Central, is seeking an energetic professional for a full-time Membership Coordinator position. The position is responsible for providing support as a membership coordinator for a trade association managed via contract. Work primarily from home with training and team meetings taking place in the NACM NC office.
You are a key point of contact for members. Excellent communication and task management are required to successfully complete a diverse arrangement of assignments with varying and sometimes competing deadlines. You must have exceptional organizational skills to maintain records and work both independently and collaboratively with staff and client teams. You will also maintain a high degree of member satisfaction & retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services. Experience in Association Management is preferred as this is a highly interactive position that requires consistent professionalism.
Member Services Committee
- Staff Liaison for member services committee
- Attend monthly meetings, complete assigned action items and meeting minutes
- Coordinate activities and events of committee throughout the year and onsite during the annual conference
- Preparation, distribution, and maintenance of membership reports
Member Support
- First point of contact via phone and email
- Coordinate membership renewals and process dues payments
- Process services changes in client database
- Membership advertising benefits management
Annual Conference
- Lead all aspects of registration, including the registration desk at the conference
- Responsible for accurate presentation of annual conference materials:
- Mobile app – data input, attendee support, etc.
- Session and event evaluations in survey software
- Pre/post program and event duties as needed
Financial Support
- Create and code month-end reports
- Apply payments and manage invoices in membership database
General administrative
- Manage the distribution of all marketing and membership bulk email communications
- Maintain corporate records and files
- Keep current on changes to membership database for maintaining its data integrity
- Other administrative tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills:
- One to three years of providing support to multiple groups and/or people
- Highly organized and have a superior attention to detail
- Self-motivation and self-direction, to successfully work without close supervision
- Proven ability to independently prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines with overlapping activities
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with a customer focused attitude
- Experience with in-person client support or customer service
- Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
- Ability to communicate professionally and accurately through written and verbal methods
- Ability to travel up to one time per year for on-site meeting support – usually five to six days, traditionally in March
- Non-profit trade association experience is a plus
- Experience working with association management or customer relationship management software is a plus
