Description
OverviewWe are seeking an energetic, patient, and enthusiastic Golf Coach to lead and support our junior golf clinics. The ideal candidate is passionate about introducing children to the game of golf, helping them build fundamental skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the sport in a fun and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience coaching or teaching youth sports, preferably golf.
- Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, and etiquette.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children and parents.
- Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with kids of varying skill levels.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- PGA/LPGA membership or certification (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work weekends, nights and flexible hours based on clinic schedules.
- Ability to stand, walk, and demonstrate golf techniques for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and transport light equipment (e.g., golf bags, teaching aids).
- Hourly/commission based
- Access to practice facilities and staff golf privileges (if applicable).
- Opportunity for professional development and advancement within the junior golf program.
Essential Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate golf instruction for kids
- Teach fundamentals including grip, stance, swing mechanics, putting, chipping, and on-course etiquette.
- Create engaging lessons that balance skill development with fun and games to maintain participation and enjoyment.
- Ensure safety of all participants at all times, maintaining a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Provide feedback and encouragement tailored to each child's ability level and progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents, answering questions and providing updates on student progress.
- Set up and maintain clinic equipment, stations, and practice areas before and after each session.
- Support program growth by promoting clinics, camps, and junior programs within the club/community.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure smooth clinic operations.
