Description
Job Title: Grant AdministratorDepartment: Division of Research FLSA: Exempt Location: Philadelphia, PA POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the Chief Research and Science Officer, implements and coordinates administrative support services for research and sponsored programs. Provides leadership, guidance, coordination and oversight for faculty throughout project development, review, submission, negotiation, implementation and evaluation, including programmatic and budgetary assistance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Maintains information on faculty interests and institutional infrastructure; assesses institutional and individual capabilities.• Identifies potential governmental, corporate, and private sponsors; determines eligibility for funding opportunities.• Assists in obtaining application materials; assists in proposal preparation; provides recommendations for budget development; coordinates internal approvals.• Coordinates proposal submission, ensuring adherence to sponsor instructions; ensures compliance with PCOM policies and federal regulations.• Serves as Authorized Organizational Representative/Signing Official for electronic proposal, no-cost extension, and progress report submissions.• Prepares and coordinates approvals for contracts, subcontracts, and cooperative agreements; negotiates terms with funding agencies and subcontractors.• Serves as liaison between financial analysts and faculty for administration of grants and contracts; assists with project changes and approvals for re-budgeting and no-cost extensions.• Prepares reports for internal and external stakeholders on research and sponsored programmatic activities.• Manages the maintenance and retention of essential records and files. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE• The years of experience required for this position is five (5) in financial, grants, contractual, and/or programmatic compliance monitoring and implementation, which shall include responsibility for the research and/or writing of proposals.• Experience with Workday platform Education and Certifications• The minimum level of formal education required for this position is a Bachelors degree in finance or any other related field. Physical Requirements• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, up to eight hours per day.• Ability to view computer screen for extended periods, up to eight hours per day• Manual dexterity and mobility in order to use personal computers and other office equipment.Starting Salary: $68,000.00
