Jeremiah Pope Democratic candidate running for Montgomery County Council At-Large in Montgomery County Maryland is seeking a full-time field organizer for the upcoming June 23, 2026 Maryland’s Democratic Primary. The position is a full-time opportunity. 

The field organizer will work as part of a team to ensure campaign organizing goals are met. Our field organizer will have the opportunity to get their foot in the door of Montgomery County politics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about organizing and have experience working with diverse communities.

Requirements

Duties and responsibilities:

•       Canvassing in Support of Jeremiah Pope
•       Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for events, phone banking, and canvassing
•       Provide daily/weekly reports of voter contact and volunteer recruitment data
•       Collecting contact information of supporters identified at the doors
•       Willingness to work nontraditional hours
•       Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, partners, and community members to advance field objectives
•       Ensuring the timely completion of Weekly Field Goals 

Ideal candidates will have:

•       At least one year of relevant political, campus, or community organizing experience
•       Demonstrated commitment to progressive causes and organizing
•       Strong written and verbal skills
•       Enthusiasm for working in a team environment
•       Ties to Montgomery County are welcomed, but not required
•       Ability to manage multiple projects at once
•       Access to reliable transportation, valid driver's license, have a cell phone, and reliable laptop
