Position Overview:
Coordinates and tracks shipping and receiving activities for the Fabrication Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate deliveries and shipments, including scheduling with freight companies and tracking incoming and outgoing materials.
- Prepare bills of lading and packing lists for all outgoing shipments.
- Maintain photo documentation for all deliveries leaving the facility.
- Communicate delivery schedules and updates with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the tool and warehouse teams to align fabrication deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets and Outlook Calendar for all shipping and receiving activities.
- Ensure all materials are properly ordered, received, tagged, and packaged for each fabrication delivery.
- Manage vendor deliveries, including painters, galvanizers, and inspection services.
- Coordinate short-term and long-term storage of equipment and fabrication items.
- Update and maintain delivery tracking status in internal company software.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Communicate with vendors to track receivables and material status.
- Assist with material ordering for fabrication packages as needed.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or fabrication environment preferred.
Required Licensing and Other Certifications:
- Maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
