Job Summary:
The ERP Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing ERP systems, supporting continuous improvement by implementing new functionalities, and ensuring seamless integration with other applications. This role involves debugging and enhancing systems, providing high-level support to various teams, and collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to drive strategic direction. The analyst will lead sessions to determine functional solutions for FIN/HR/Payroll requirements, gather feedback from relevant departments, and resolve functional issues. Additionally, they will maintain product knowledge, serve as the intermediary between business stakeholders and the development team, and manage project metrics to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities Specific to this Job:
- Experience in all facets of SDLC methods including analysis, design, and development of ERP systems
- Support continuous Improvement methodologies by regularly reviewing, planning, implementing and supporting new functionality released by the ERP vendor
- Advanced understanding of other applications used by PWCS and how functional processes impact configurations, data transfers between systems both internal and external
- Experience in the debugging systems, designing/implementing new systems, and enhancing existing applications
- Interacts with the various teams, including leadership, directors, and vendors to provide high-level, functional and technical support to the advantage product daily
- Collaborate with the project managers and client partners to strategic direction and innovation supporting customer requirements
- Receives minimal supervision from Director/Supervisor
- Lead sessions to analyze FIN/HR/Payroll business requirements to determine functional solutions
- Gathering feedback from Accounting/AP/Finance/HR/Payroll departments to determine which components of the application could be modified or added from the division to meet fiscal needs
- Collaborating with department leads independently to prepare participants for meeting sessions and to answer questions regarding their business functions as it relates to Advantage ERP FIN/HRM/Payroll
- Testing and resolving FIN/HRM/Payroll functional issues while providing functional support to the project team
- Maintain product and content knowledge by attending webinars and training provided by product vendors
- Serve as primary intermediary between the Business stakeholders and the development team throughout a project's life cycle
- Developing baseline requirements and a change control process plan. Using this plan, the individual tracks requirements from baseline to the final verification
- Gather metrics to drive project/ticket progress, manage workload to increase return on investment, response time, resolution time, customer feedback/satisfaction and developmental workload
Requirements
At a minimum, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent plus minimum of 7 years experience working with ERP systems. Experience working with CGI Advantage preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors:
- Experience with configuring and/or managing ERP applications.
- Experience with systems design and implementation.
- Advanced knowledge of methods, metrics, tools, and techniques of business process reengineering.
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for conducting performance assessments of ERP systems, change management theories, and their application in a business environment.
- Advanced knowledge of procedures for developing technical and operational support documentation and tools for analyzing and developing test and evaluation procedures.
- Advanced knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of information technology assessment.
- Considerable knowledge of school division processes, procedures, and requirements.
- Considerable knowledge of the capabilities of information technology software, hardware, and network communication technology.
- Considerable knowledge of the capabilities of various computer platforms functioning in centralized, distributed, client-server, and stand-alone environments.
- Considerable knowledge of effective processes, methods, and techniques to analyze and evaluate business operations.
- Considerable knowledge of effective project management methods, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to work on problems of diverse scope where analysis requires a comprehensive understanding of hardware/software systems solutions.
- Ability to manage both small and large, long and short-term projects under project timelines and resources.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a demonstrated track record in new concept development for various projects and complex technical plans.
- Ability to work cooperatively with technical staff and end users and establish and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision
