This position is for the Division of Endocrinology within the Department of Pediatrics. Equivalent relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement. This position is located at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville. PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. Job Summary
Oversees day-to-day management and execution of multiple complex research projects and ensures compliance with all funding agencies and sponsors. Constructs data collection instruments and crafts promotional materials. Troubleshoots data and manages database. Assists with screening, recruitment, and enrollment of study participants. Performs budgetary and purchasing functions.
Essential Functions
A Clinical Research Program Supervisor is needed to assist with multiple NIH-funded clinical research studies, including budgetary and regulatory aspects, coordination of study team meetings with multiple investigators, study visit scheduling, and data management.
• Recruitment of children and families for clinical research studies; support of clinical research study visits.
• Oversees day-to-day management and execution of multiple complex research projects including recommending and implementing project procedures; tracks project progress, assesses project needs, assigns tasks, and evaluates team performance.
• Trains consultants, subcontractors, clerical/technical staff, and graduate student researchers.
• Documents and assures compliance with all requirements of funding agencies and sponsors that support ongoing research activities.
• Constructs data collection instruments and promotional materials; collects, analyzes and troubleshoots data and manages database. Compiles reports and present data findings as directed.
• Assists with screening, recruitment, and enrollment of study participants.
• Facilitates budgetary and purchasing decisions.
