Shift40 hours per week; Mostly Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but there will be some evenings and weekends.Job SummaryThe Program Coordinator supports the Assistant Director for Aquatics in the mission of Campus Recreation to provide unparalleled recreation programs, services, and facilities that support students in living active lives of meaning and purpose.This position is under the guidance of the Assistant Director for Aquatics and will assist with staffing, facility operations, all aquatic programming, staffing, facility operations, instructional/special event programming that are responsive to the physical, social and recreational interests of the students and drive student engagement. Additionally, this position provides supervision to Aquatic program student staff, and will aid in facilitation of training, scheduling, program management and collaborations with other areas of Campus Recreation.
Student Success will, from the time of early college outreach to graduation and beyond, support students in living a life of meaning and purpose. From a student-centered framework, our practice will be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices, and data-informed decision-making. Collaborating with the campus and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to support a community of learners in achieving success.
Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesOther duties include collaboration with UK Athletics in support of Athletic teams using facility, equipment selections, and supporting a variety of Campus Recreation Initiatives
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
- American Red Cross Lifeguard (must maintain once in position)
