- Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Regional Coordinator, LA/Long Beach

The University of the Pacific, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy invites qualified applicants to apply for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position as the Regional Coordinator, LA/Long Beach in the rank of Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The LA/Long Beach Regional Coordinator is responsible for the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) program in the LA/Long Beach region.
Strong background in ambulatory or acute care pharmacy practice and effective interpersonal communication skills are required. In addition to teaching, service on departmental, school and university committees is expected. Scholarly activity is not required in this position, but it is encouraged. A Pharm.D. degree with a PGY1 residency or fellowship, or equivalent practice experience, is required. Licensed or eligible for licensure in California; must obtain licensure within one year of hire.

Requirements
The position is located in LA/Long Beach, California. The duties of the LA/Long Beach Regional Coordinator include supervising senior PharmD students during their experiential rotations, precepting APPE rotations and teach selected didactic courses, facilitating interprofessional education, scheduling rotation sites for students assigned to their region, coordinating regional conferences, advising students in their region, providing clinical services and preceptor support to VA Long Beach, the host institution, and providing support and development to volunteer preceptors in the LA/Long Beach region.
Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible for licensure in California; if not licensed in California, licensure within one year of hire is required.
Pharm.D. with PGY1 residency or fellowship or equivalent experience is required.
PGY2 in ambulatory care or acute care preferred.
