Position Summary
This is a nine-month benefits-eligible position (typically from January through September annually).
Discover Abroad provides study abroad programs globally (www.discoverabroad.uga.edu). This position is for someone who wishes to pursue a career in international education/study abroad (and enjoys traveling overseas). The job combines extended stays in multiple international locations with in-office administrative work. Key responsibilities include: (1) in-country program instruction and field logistics support (including safety and well-being of students), (2) program marketing and student recruitment, and (3) assisting with daily administration as needed

Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/Responsibilities
This will require working varying hours, nights, and weekends during programs as a normal course of business.
Specific duties may include:
- Manage day-to-day logistics on DA programs
- Provide some instruction (and/or instructional support) on DA programs (depending on qualifications)
- Foster positive group dynamics, encourage teamwork, and mentor students in programs.
- Create and maintain a culture of health, safety, and risk management on programs.
- Serve as liaison between students and field guides and faculty, providing feedback and mentoring to foster professional relationships.
- Work with DA office to manage the budget, including management of a P-Card and/or petty cash, and all on-ground logistics.
